Again, if they knew the potential repercussions, how many in the US would support this? Beyond that, I didn't realize we were now writing sweeping national laws based on polls.

As i have said in other threads the GOP like to talk about democracy but they mainly believe in it for others. They repeatedly do everything to prevent the democratic process from working effectively. This is simply the most recent example.

An “insignificant issue” that 75 percent of the population believes to be important. If the shoe were on the other foot would there not be comments about elitists thinking they know better than 3/4 of the electorate?
Are you seriously suggesting that the motivation behind this law was to eliminate voter fraud. Why not require voters to carry a lighting rod to the voting booth because there is a greater statistical probability of being struck by lightning then voter fraud. The GOP will go to any length to get their people elected.
It's a poll question. Response is based on how the question was phrased. Again, I'm pretty sure you're not a trial lawyer, because an even reasonably competent public defender could tear your arguments apart. It's insignificant unless you can show major voter fraud. Most of the cases were felons released from prison who tried to vote without understanding the process they had to go through to regain their voting rights. As far as any organized fraud this is a complete non-issue. The issue is that this is about voter supression, and manipulating who decides who is elected. Over to you conselor.
