it shouldnt be a problem , as long as your talking about the proper lane, do you really mean the right lane, or the left lane, sounds like your in the far left lane

nope, right most lane. Try it, especially on 407. :D

so always pass if under 120 and drive like normal, #2 drive fast, 140 plus and never stop.....just get the heck off the highway as soon as possible, then slow down ( has always worked for me, even had them pull me over afterwards, they cant prove it was me ) ( APPLYS ONLY TO SPEED TRAPS )#3 then of course you could always drive the speed limit, just stay outa the fast lane.
well said...u got strong points here, i'm going to use these myself now...

That goese back to the problem of being taligated, honked and high-beamed
when I'm doing 100 in a 100 zone on the most right lane at 407 (or even 401 for that matter), or the same thing goes when I'm doing 90 on the rightmost lane at DVP where it's supposed to be 90 kph zone with zero tolerance.

Quite unfortunate, really, when people who wants to obey the rule get shafted.

Dude, serves you right for driving so damn slow.

In other words: "Move bitch, get out my way" or i'll tail you.

uhmmm, that is not the point of my post

Somebody posted that it's best to not drive over the speed limit, and my response to that is that if you drive at speed limit, even on the right-most lane, you'll get tailgated, honked and high-beamed.

Personally, I have a switch in my car to activate the brake lights. If somebody is driving to close to me, I flick the switch and it's fun to see the car behind me braking like crazy. Especially when I'm already driving 120 kph and the car behind me is tailgating to the point I can't even see their headlights.

Use your real brakes! It's more fun that way.

A cop can do whats called a 'Visual Observation' of your speeding without needing a radar gun.
Only problem is they dont hold up well in court, so if you ever get one of those make sure you take it to court.

In order for them to win in court with a "speedometer reading" they have to be able to prove that the police car in question had the speedometer serviced and checked before the shift. And they don't do that.

The police will almost never pull you over if you aren't going fast enough for them to take any points away. I believe that, in the absence of any other zoning, that number is the speed limit + 15 km/h (To lose 1 point). If you have a relatively clean driving record and the police pull you over they will often 'cut you a break' and only charge you with being 10 (or a little more) over the speed limit so you don't lose that point. (I have some experience with that.)

I've had police do the slow down in 'front of you' trick, to try to bait me into passing. I've had that happen on rural highways... Nothing like driving behind a cruiser at 89 km/h on a rural highway... Uggh. (I also think that they slow down to get you to pass so they can see your plate, and the tags on your plate... I got nailed for expired tags once after passing a police car that slowed down in front of me.)

A lot of the time, the police will be zooming around at great deal above the speed limit. If the police officer is driving fast but his lights aren't flashing (esp. if he's gaining on you from the rear) it usually means he's not too interested in you... If he's in front of you and he slows down to the speed limit, pull off for coffee... If it's not a major highway, the traffic police will often be hidden on the sides of the road, and the police that are actually trying to get somewhere will be the ones on the road (and won't mess with you unless you are 'really' speeding).

But YMMV, and I'm hardly an expert on traffic tickets.
