We're not allowed in the left lane until about 500 m before the Brant St. ramp, and yes it's a huge fine. As for the Main St/Hwy 6 stretch, I'm not so sure we're allowed to be in the left lane there.

So the big truck was able to change into the right lane as soon as he saw the cop but you in your little car could not switch to the right lane during the entire incident leading up to that point? I drive about 60k per year. Unfortunately these idiots are a dime a dozen.

Coulpe of things though...OPP and truckers = dicks (I know I'm generalizing) The OPP are tax collectors for the most part. Just ask a metro cop.

Trucks in Ontario are legally governed to not exceed 105 km per hour - there are major fines if a transport vehicle does not comply. At the truck weigh stations, speed governors are also checked now. So if you are holding up trucks, you are a real loser. They have a job to do, and basically can't use passing lanes because they can no longer reach speeds to efficiently overtake traffic. Please be polite enough to move over for them, or just grow some balls and get your speed up to 106 and you will have no issues with transport trucks tailing you.
