In the first trial all it took was ONE juror to say "I don't care if he did it, Mark Fuhrman is racist and calls us niggers so fuck the cops and save a brotha" and he is found not guilty.
I watched a tremendous amount of the trial when I was in uni and from what I saw, even if the Fuhrman angle didn't exist; I feel he would have still walked. I Don't know if the individual jurors saw Fuhrman as the only issue, but it seemed to me that there were other pretty valid issues to acquit him on. Prosecution really didn't make the case.

I agree the prosecution was shitty . . .and jury nullification[played a part
True, however related to the later the jury had the intelligence of a cod. A prime example was the juror who was dismissed just after the DNA evidence, and who when interviewed on television was totally obsessed with blood typing and talked about how there were thousands of people with the same blood type totally ignoring the week of DNA evidence the jury had just been presented.

Jury Vote

This is not about O.J. Las Vegas showdown and how he went to hotel to threat some guy with a gun to get stuff back. This is about gettin justice from 14 year ago. You think any other joe guy who did this with gun would be lookin at gettin life in prison? I wonder how it hard it was to find jury that not bias against O.J. Simpson and what he did in past. It about time he got what he deserve. I'm sure Goldman and Brown family is relief knowing he may be lock up for life. If he were smart he would have move far away from Hollywood or Florida long after first trial and start over knowing that he got away with murder. Now I belief in karma.

Yes. If he was black and in the south, I would not be surprised to find this par for the course. However, I didn't follow this trial so I don't know if they had the goods on O.J this time or not, but if the jury based their decision on anything other than the facts presented before them; maybe their asses should be the ones in jail.

If anyone here in Toronto would have walked into a hotel room and threatened people with a gun and kicked over some tables with 3 other guys, he would only be in jail for no more than 1 year IF FOUND GUILTY.

The dogs were after OJ and they got him because he is stupid. OJ killed hiw wife and his lover, do you think a petty thief would kill two people with a butcher knife until the handle was broken? Please, what a coincidence that the "thief" entered the house right at the moment Nicole has her lover inside for a few minutes.

I would prefer the 10-year prison for any crime with a gun, and for murder with a gun, LIFE.

Back in 1994 I was actually stupid enough to believe that OJ was innocent of killing his wife and her lover, but that changed as he was acquitted and the behavior he showed afterwards:

- Went on a cruise to Australia about 2 weeks after being acquitted, what loving husdand dares do that after his wife has been murdered?

-About a week after the acquittal he was already walking around with a new girlfriend.

-In subsequent years he went to Florida to golf, why wasn't he seeking the public's help in finding the real killer?

I'm so glad this smiling douchebag is behind bars.

You are talking through your hat... what do you know about sentencing in Canada for offences involving the use of guns?

LOL!

Anyone see the irony in this?

Guy has an opinion on something he says KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT and then suggests the jury should go to jail if they didn't base their findings on the facts!
Psst...

I was responding to the comment that the “this is getting justice from 14 years ago”. However, (to me)Only thing that should matter though are the facts in the immediate case. I don't know the facts here and i'm not really concerned about knowing them; just pointing out that if juries are basing decisions on things other than the relevant facts it isn't kosher. See?

Because he already knew who the real killer was!

He had all this money to pay his legal 'dream team' and take all these world trips, but claimed poverty when the Goldman family won their civil case against him!

The poor sod was too dumb to buy a one-way ticket to Brazil and set up a new life there. Now he'll spend the next 15-20 years sewing mailbags and looking over his shoulder every night!
