Its sold to despots to track journalists and activists.
No wonder you keep defending it.

Have you ever wondered why you have this pathological need to make up your own reality to demonize Israel?

The software is sold to track criminals, terrorists, etc and it's pathetic of you top blame Israel because a few of the countries violated the purpose.

Toronto's Citizen's Lab did an analysis of Amnesty's research on NSO.

Basically, you're full of crap and pushing Israeli propaganda, defending hacking Canadian journalists and activists by a foreign government.
Its one thing when you're just advocating for war, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and settler colonialism in what could have been Palestine but its an entirely different matter when you defend a foreign government using an agency to hack Canadian journalists and activists in Canada itself.

You're not defending Canadians, you're defending foreigners hacking them.

And maybe you should read what it says because at no point do they say Israel is to blame because countries like Mexico misused the software.
So you think its totally fine that the software you are defending here was sold by Israel to Saudi Arabia and used in the assassination of journalist Khashogghi?

“The investigation into NSO precipitated criticism of the Israeli government, which licensed the sales; the technology could not have been exported without the explicit consent of the Israeli Defense Ministry. Indeed, The New York Times has reported separately that the Israeli government not only allowed but encouraged the company to continue selling its software to Saudi Arabia, even after the murder of Khashoggi. The Post has raised questions about NSO’s relationship with Israel’s government, citing speculation in the US intelligence community that the company may share some of the information it collects with Israeli security agencies. “

Here is the important line for everyone:

This is another clear reminder that what happens in Palestine doesn’t stay in Palestine. The abuses of the Israeli state against Palestinians—in which US taxpayers are complicit—have consequences around the world.”

Every sale was ok'd by the government.
...
And it was other countries like Mexico (a major Canadian trade partner) who chose to misuse it. Of course you only want to demonize Israel instead of criticizing the countries that actually committed these acts.

You think Israel and the NSO sold the hacking tools to Saudi Arabia thinking they would only use it for good deeds?
That's pretty fricking hilarious, basketcase.

Israel sold the software to despots who used it exactly as they knew they would.

The question remains, why are you backing hacking Canadians over holding Israel accountable?

And again you seek to blame Israel because some country used software from an Israeli company badly but tiptoe around the countries actually using it. And yes, this software is widely used to track criminals and terrorists. Maybe you don't like it because you don't like your Hamas buddies being tracked.

Is there any problem you won't try to blame on Israel?

I blame Israel for backing NSO, letting them design and use this hacking software on activists and journalist and then selling it despotic states that you used to label as 'dictator' states.
And you excuse them because there is nothing Israel can do that you won't back.

Even when that means backing them spying on Canadians, you back Israel, don't you?

How many other countries have you criticized because a company from their sold products to people who abused them? Oh that's right, that wouldn't further you obse3ssive hatred of Israel.

Who here has defending Russian, North Korean or Chinese hacking?
Nobody.

This debate continues because you defend Israel hacking Canadian journalists and activists.
Why do you defend Israelis over Canadians?
Why are you defending crimes committed against Canadians?

Funny. I don't recall you ever using a private company to demonize an entire country except with israel.

And I challenge you to show any quote where I defended NSO software being used to target journalists or peaceful activists.

I challenge you to find any quote where you said any act by NSO or Israel was wrong.
All you've done here is defend an apartheid country working with a private business to hack Canadian journalists and activists.
That's disgusting.

Oh changing the goalposts again. But sure, if you need help reading...

You're just upset that I'm here calling out your Israel obsession over a private company.

I can't recall developing any software.

But no surprise you want to go after Israel because a private company sold software to people and those other people used it for bad things. Anything to further your crusade.

And of course you are so obsessed with Israel that you complain that an Israeli company developed software and say nothing about the countries choose to use the software inappropriately. What fun would it be for you to criticize UAE, Bahrain, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Lebanon, Qatar, or the half dozen other countries suspected of abusing the capabilities when you can obsess about Israel.

BTW, it seems like the US, Canada, the UK, France, and Netherlands are places where Pegasus is used.

p.s. I have no problem with countries using the software to track criminals and terrorists subject to whatever laws those countries have about warrants, etc. The software is not the problem, the problem is the way that Mexico, Saudi Arabia, etc. used it.
