Hardly matters. It was published in the school Year Book back then and anyone there at the time could have sent it in. But since there's an el;ection campaign underway, it's far more likely someone — reporter or political operative — was tasked to dig back into his past, just as they dig back into every candidate's history in these days of tabloid TV, YouTUbe liars for likes, and alt-journalism.

Wouldn't be hard to find Trudeau dress-up pix, as a drama teacher he had a huge Tickle Trunk.

True, but since those ethics rules were brought in under Stephen Harper, it would be difficult to judge him against other Prime Ministers. He's the first one who's had a chance to break them. Go back in history and you'll no doubt find others who have done far worse. I'm not apologising for his actions, just pointing out that the hype is bullshit.

Oddly enough, there's been a recent spike in searches for Harper ethics violations, which turns up an extensive list published back in 2015.

Besides time in office, the different scores between the two PMs illustrate that Harper had no Ethics Commissioner to call him out and answer to, only Parliament and the voters. But with his days and the Party's pretty clearly numbered, he cannily saw the pay-off if he left such a watchdog to his successor.

What surprised me was it took this long to find. And it wasn't sought out I imagine. It was handed to them and to the press.

Um, no, I disagree.

Electoral reform, pipelines, deficit increases, SNC Lavalin, India trip, etc etc.

He was already reeling due to his policy decisions. All this did was knock out his SJW credibility.

I disagree with you that Trudeau is no different than trump.

You can point to bad incidents in both of their pasts...but Trump continues to be aggressively racist in his policies and decisions now...Trudeau is the opposite in that regard.

You see JT as a hypocrite. I see him as a man who made some poor decisions in the past but has learned, grown, and evolved. I think he is sincere in his beliefs even if he hasn’t always measured up to them himself.
