After the CNN story broke, Freeman issued a short statement of apology, saying, “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent."

The other day, I was walking downtown, and as I passed by, I happened to look at one of the many condo buildings there. It turns out there was a woman who was showering, and therefore naked, inside that building at the time. I am now being accused of sexual harassment.

I would feel uneasy/scared being a university student these days . Look at a co-ed, innocently, hook up with one at a party, she'll accuse you of sexual harassent/assault , then you are expelled.

It was probably the binoculars that gave you away. Next time be more careful.

Yawn.

Unless he was pulling a Cosby, I don't care if he made a pass at one woman or another.

It's become ridiculous already. If he hits on you and you're offended, tell him to fuck off and walk away. If he then grabs you and forces you to have sex against your will - call the police immediately.

A female student in the USA was expelled recently. Both were drunk but the guy went first and complained. Apparently first one wins.

I wonder how many suffer in silence while the aggressor is totally unaware that his overtures are unwelcome. If MF was confronted immediately with - I don't like you doing that - would have he carried on the dailly assault ?

I am not condoning bad behaviour but if was Chris Hemsworth using the same moves - how vocal would the complaints be ?

Okay but his statement is bullshit when you consider the allegation that he lifted a lady's dress and asked if she was wearing any underwear. How can that act not be offensive?

(Personally, I feel that at some point in the careers of these celebrities, many woman wanted to sleep with them or fool around with them, so these celebrities are emboldened by their star power. When they take the initiative later on unsuspecting women who say no, that's when it backfires. With the Me Too movement, they are now being outed).

I'm guessing having 8 women accuse him of harassment or inappropriate behaviour wasn't on his bucket list. :D

I wonder if Brad Pitt (or some other heart throb) made the same comments, if those women would've reacted the same way. Could be they didn't like it because it was an old black man...

True, but don't forget that before the ME TOO movement, they were afraid to challenge the sexual advance from a rich celebrity. So while that improper behaviour was not immediately or vociferously rejected, it was allowed to persist.

Brad Pitt might have had more invitations or encouraging treatment by women, so he didn't look like a perv.

Out of the blue sexual advances, that are uninvited, are simply creepy, especially when you may not have sex appeal or lost it in old age.
