Note To Sp's - Don't Mention......

Is it just me but when an SP mentions her boyfriend in a thread (and not a part of an available duo), it sort of turns me off, and I wonder how other Terbites feel.

Hell, we can all assume they have SO's but I don't want to read about it/him/them/her (well maybe her).

Sooner or later, the SO might get pissed off at her career choice, and cause a scene or something.....anyway that's my axe to grind today.

It doesn't bother me, but I can understand why some people might be a bit put off. The woman are part of our world, regular people who have lives outside of their job. Let's allow them to feel comfortable. :)

I feel the same about dancers sometimes...

I don't visit SPs very often if at all but I have felt the same about dancers before. Even more so when they sit at my table and go on and on at length about what an a**hole their boyfriend is. How he takes her money, is a lazy ass that won't go to work etc.

I remember this one time in particular that this dancer sat at my table and somehow she started talking about her BF. How he is upset at her because she is not making enough money lately. This just served to turn me off and so I decided not to take any dances from her. Why would I want to support some jerk off sitting on his ass at home? When she finally popped the question: "Do you want some dances tonight?" I said no thanks. She stomps off complaining: "Oh great, when I get home tonight I'm dead" Like that is suppose to motivate me to get dances from her? Hello!

Reality

Ah yes, reality sucks, doesn't it? Illusion is so much better!

By the way, the ladies hate it when you guys go on and on about your wives, and/or all the other escorts you've seen in your life too. Now, I just know somebody's going to say "but we pay so we should get what we want and the chicks should just suck it up (in more ways than one)" - but that's not reality, is it? Which gets back to the beginning, which is reality kind've sucks for some people.

Double standard?

It might be a wee bit of a double standard I'm not sure but yes I have mentioned in passing something a thing or two about my GF to SP and/or dancers before. The thing for me though is I don't go on and on and on about it as I have experienced from some dancers. I don't sit there and make a big deal out of it about how much she is a no good this and that. When I start to hear that stuff... it just turns me off. To mention in passing and then change subject is OK for me from both sides. Just don't dwell on it or start with too much negitive stuff... that's when for me it begins to be a turn off.

I don't know about everybody else but it is a total turnoff to me hearing about an SP's B/F, husband or SO. I can understand that they may use it to keep prospective clients from falling for them. I personally don't care about their relationships outside of the hotel room. I want to preserve the "illusion" that she's there for me and nobody else. I know its an illusion and I know they have a life outside of being an SP but I don't want to hear about it. My best friend had a fabulous SP who mentioned her BF at least 10 times. By the end of the evening he knew everything there was to know about him. She wasn't complaining about him just mentioning him ALL the time. I have had similar experiences as well. So ladies talk about the weather, restaurants, movies, travels and anything else you can think of but most guys are not interested in your family life.
When my SO started in the industry she did not let on she was involved for that very reason. Better for business yes, but not better for feeling honest and true. Most clients she saw more than once became aware and surprisingly very few minded. She is not one to talk or mention me though as it kills the mood for most.

It's OK to read how we've just DFK, BBBJ, MSOG, etc... with an SP here, but we're put off when she talks about her BF?

I agree. It is too much information and not appropriate, Marlene

Here's what's worse.
Seeing the SP and her boyfriend in the restaurant, and in the Mall
You're completely right.

When we're not working, we should simply flip the 'off' switch we all have located at the base of our spines, and have a helpful friend place us back into our boxes, where we will remain until the next person (who will, of course, be the only client we've seen that entire month) calls to book an appointment with us.

There's nothing worse than one of those pesky SPs walking around pretending like she has a real life..

Morgan if you’re only getting one appointment a month... you need to do some more advertising. Maybe we should meet up. I know a really nice restaurant in a mall. Coffees on me. :p

No, no - I'm keeping myself 'exclusive'. I was actually thinking that one per month might be pushing it, since I don't want to be accused of being 'high traffic', in addition to the cardinal sin of being seen in public places on a semi regular basis. I might have to scale back to once every six months.

This will also give me the advantage of finally knowing what it feels like to be a married woman.

Hey, wait a minute...you mean you've already seen a client? I was thinking of booking with you, but I thought you were a virgin. Now I'm not so sure I want to go through with this. wtf kind of a rip off scam is going on here? I thought women were for my one time exclusive use. You know...sort of disposable.

That's actually the new special I'm thinking of running:

"Hymen reconstruction surgery 100% gauranteed after every client! Once a virgin, always a virgin!

This off also includes my super special, just for you written and signed in blood promise that you'll never: see me in public; hear me mention having anything approaching a personal life; hear me admit to having read any book other than the kama sutra; have me volunteer any sort of political or religious belief which doesn't agree with yours; or hear me deny that yours is, indeed, the absolute hugest c*ck I've ever seen.

Super special rate of just $59.99 per six hour appointment, plus I'll do your dishes & paint your house.

Act now, space is limited!"

You just know at least one person would bitch about the price, too...

Back on topic, my preference is that an sp not talk about her bf.

It is not because I have any allusions that the sp is a virgin or somehow attainable or anything like that. I am just being selfish. I don't want her to think about any other man for the next hour or two, other than me.

I can understand this, too - I realize that we're attempting to create a sort of 'cocoon' away from reality.

And yet, all of this also begs the question - why are there still so many men who simply will not let the topic drop? I refer here to the ones who want to know everything about an sp - where she really lives, all about her relationships, intimate details about her family.. it's like being at a job interview, for God's sake. It freaks me out. I don't ask prying questions of my clients - I like the same courtesy in return.

How about we promise not to mention our partners, if you can get those guys to stop asking us about them?
