I am sure this thread has been started before. It seems the No Shows are getting more and more aggressive and sophisticated in their approaches. They come on with a sense of familiarity and actually email beforehand to set me up. They go to great lengths to establish a relationship with me to earn my trust. They joke with me on the phone and act like they are a friend, referring to our email correspondence.

What a joke. Then they don't show. Fortunately I haven't lost any money yet. I am afraid I am going to have to start double booking policies. I see no other alternative. Any suggestions? I always ask them to call a half hour beforehand to confirm they are coming which these "no shows" do. They are just hurting it for the other men and they are misogynists. It is happening about 3 times a week. Why do they do it?

They are sad people who deserve our pity.

Unfortunately they get off on a response like your thread, it shows they got to you. Resist the urge to double book, keep screening as best as you can.

I guess they can't get a girl on their own and don't have the courage to cum to an escort.

Agree!

Marla, we've all experienced no shows and they do seem to cum in spurts, but there is never a good reason to double book and risk damaging your reputation as a provider, as you in turn will be causing grief to those who don't deserve it. Two wrongs never make a right and if you haven't financially suffered I see absolutely no reason to react this way.

Also, calling them misogynists seems a bit extreme. There could be many reasons why they do it and it also doesn't necessarily mean they can't get a SO in real life.

Hang in there and with time you will develop a good regular clientele, making this nothing more than an occasional annoyance.

Marla, I sympathize with you as I have experienced things from the other side.
Bait'n Switch - where I booked an appointment with a particular MP, travelled 60-90 mins only to find that they are not working/didn't show up/no longer work at the spa;
Arriving for a scheduled appointment and waiting up to an hour because the SP was still busy/not answering phone/not answering door;
Having an escort (from an agency) arrive two hours after original appointment, and then not properly dressed;
Making an appointment days in advance and having it cancelled at last minute by SP, sometimes after arriving at the rendezvous; and,
of course the favourite when you are seeing someone for the first time and they bear NO resemblance to the pictures on the website.

In over 30 years of hobbying I have experienced almost everything at one point or another. Unfortunately it come with the territory. In the late 70's and 80's there were no bulletin boards, reviews or ratings of massage parlours, escort agencies and independents. It was a bit of a crap shoot, although at least with a massage spa you could check out the place first and make a decision once you were there.

I think you need to follow Viggo's advice and tighten up your screening process. Hopefully, as Sopha suggests, this is just an aberration and things will settle down.

Good luck!

I would gather these are first time clients right? I know how you feel, it frustrates me equally as much when the provider does that to me, not that its happened often. Are the majority of these NS younger than 30 or older? I don't really know your age restriction or if you have one. But I know that younger males tend to be more flakey when it comes to this sort of committed appointment. On first time clients I would probably try to expand on your screening methods. Double booking would not be fair to the ones who do show up on time. Its double edged sword. So be careful with that.

For me it is at least a 1 hour drive to 99% of the incall locations. GTA traffic is a crap shoot at the best of times and despite my best planning I've come close to not making an appointment or two. That said, I always, always, always call if I'm stuck on the roads. I have even paid for a full hour even though I was almost 20 minutes late. This is one reason I hardly ever book for HH.

The surest way is to ask all new clients for reference. If it's a true first timer you may want to restrict to an hour or ask for a deposit.

This hobby is for grown ups (not age related as long as we are adults) and unfortunately a lot of immature people try to play the game on both sides.

Double booking will put you in the same category as no shows. Don't have an easy answer but you read in the forums about the run a rounds we guys encounter; wait another 5 minutes, girl isn't the same as pictures, service isn't what agreed upon as well as you ladies complaining about hygiene issues, no-shows, aggressiveness then you quickly realize that this is an unregulated business and we all, providers and clients have to take things as they happen. I don't mean you have to accept them but you have to acknowledge the realities of the business - this goes both for the guys and the dolls.

It has happened to me a lot over the years. The guy books me in advance, confirms the night before (or even the day of) then I never hear from him again. Wait, that's not true. He'll e-mail me weeks later and when I refuse to book him in advance he acts like he has no idea what I'm talking about.

I just love it when they text me a lot and tell me all the kinky things they're going to do to me and then they disappear. Am I a phone sex girl?

Personally I don't care and I won't be mad because of those idiots. I can't do anything against it, so I don't become angry or frustrated. Life is too short to be anything but happy. They going to my blacklist and this is the most what I can do. I think this chronic masturbators just the part of this job. Yes, I have fake appointment makers few times a week always, but who cares? The next client is come and I have to concentrated on that guy. I think the clients want to meet a happy, funny girl not someone who thinking about her previous loss. I didn't do double bookings ever. If I do what is the different between me an the fake appointment makers? Every job has dark sides where you get 200-300$ for an hour so I'm ok with it. :)

It's the same guys who order pizzas for their neighbours and watch the "fun" through their curtains. And yes, they're ruining trust and spoiling things for everyone.
My local pizza joint has a call-back-customer policy to confirm pizza order. Also they refuse to service Blocked Numbers calls. Maybe you can adapt a similiar policy.

For no shows, call back at 3am and/or talk to significant other about the no show. Karma is golden.

I don't see how that can go wrong. Screwing over half your clients because 3 times a week you have a no show?

Also calling a half hour beforehand for incalls doesn't work so well if you have someone who has to drive in.
Point taken, I won't double book, I was over-reacting and angry. I can see from your angle you have frustrations to deal with as well that aren't easy. Thanks everybody for the great advice.

I just posted a warning on the PSA section about a four hour no show I had.

I had a feeling he was a flake so when I had other requests I advised them my evening appointment hadn't confirmed yet and that time might become available. They both asked me to get back in touch so when he flaked I managed to secure two one-hour bookings in his place. Including tips I was only down $100 but I was up two hours. That works.

:D
Usually I have a sixth sense about the flakes but lately some of the "no shows" have become experts.

Rules I have observed from SP's for first time dates

1. For first time dates don't accept calls from unblocked numbers, PM's or texts
2. Ask for a reference check
3. Do Google search on persons name
4. Do reverse directory assistance number look up
5. Insist you have to call the person back
6. Some SP's take first dates only by contact info sheet and don't publish their number

If you go through this routine you will eliminate time wasters and most of all those guys looking for "Free Phone Sex".

Just my opinion;)
Fantastic!

I have to disagree here.
I am a low volume provider who see a max of two people a day, maybe 4 days a week or so. If I had an average of 3 no show a week, it would mean that I may have accounted for at least 750/week (I charge 250/hr) extra that now I am not making because someone decided to no-show. At the end of the month this would make an average of losing 3K of income. Let me tell you this would hurt my bank account in a really unpleasant way

However I do agree that double booking is the worst idea ever, as then you would have an SP double booking two "legit" clients that both show up, and only one get to see the SP. It would quickly be spoken out on boards.
Marla-if you get a lot of no show, then I would suggest to start asking for references. It can be a hassle and some people are not willing to give them...but people that truly want to see you, will provide them.
