The company will sell off the name and equipment to new owners and they will make the snack/junk foods. The worse case scenario is that the import from Canada. I have had twinkies once, I do not think I would eat them again even if they were free.
I know, ding dongs were better but even it wasn't so great the last time I had one about ten years ago ?
This Hostess came out in the 60's ? was it. I bet back then the food was made better and tasted better, why it got so popular, then slowly it got made cheaper and cheaper but folks still got hung up on the name...just like McD's, back in the 1950's it was good food but then profits took over-in part cause the customers didn't want to pay much.
I feel its BS that the company can now sell its trademark name after it went bankrupt twice, cheated its suppliers and workers in bankruptcy court and can now pocket the funds from the trademark name. What happen to the good old days when a company went bankrupt and had to sell everything to pay off what it owes. Now we have companies like GM who played the bankruptcy game and got out of so much they owed people and yet still own the trademark brand names.
I recall around 15 years ago, the USA made big changes to its bankruptcy laws and big media told us it was just to make bankruptcy harder to do..maybe so for Joe Six Pack but bet this is how these companies can get away with the stuff they pull now.
But blame the unions-wasn't for them, there might be no such thing as child labor laws and overtime pay.
