its a redirect malware. not the real bad one but one that has been around off and on for a while and keeps resurfacing

malwarebytes.com software will usually take care of it. search around their discussion board for nginx

Looks like he didn't watch news. It was on the news since last week some computers without proper security software will be affected by Monday when fraud squad pulled the plug on some malware protections after their investigations for scammers are done.
