I saw this band years back when they toured with David Bowie and I am sorry but I just find them boring and pretentious that appeal to 15 year old teenage ideal of I am angry but I dont know why, and Trent Resnor please get off your high horse you arent the greatest thing that ever happened to music

I'm sorry you feel that way. It's a shame you can't see true talent. *hugs*

Annessa,

If you search http://www.rokanova.com/ for NIN you'll find 880mb of Trent. It says discography but it would seem impossible after listening to the edge on Sunday to get a FULL collection. (I'd love to find the 1,000 homo DJs that they played).

But also do a search for Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt". Classic.

I did have a chance to go but for my wheelchair and lack of access I'll wait for the summer and probably a Molsopn Amphtheatre show I hope.

Enjoy the show! :) (Lucky SOB)

Line up early for a choice spot

For those going, depending on where you wish to stand the time you get in line is important.
I got there at 5:30 p.m. and doors open at 8
if you need to be close that is perfect.
you will be in the first 200 people or so.
if you do not need to be close coming early in not important.

Last night was about the same set list as night two in Chicago and so if he opens with the Frail we will get night one from Chicago.
He should be back in the Fall at the ACC so there will be lots of floor space like there was the Maple Leaf Gardens April 30th 2000.
It is very hot inside, for those going lining up outside is very cold when the sun goes down so take a light jacket.
Many girls did not last night and wore very little and had it tuff outside come 7p.m. or so

To those going enjoy he gave everything he had last night and will again tonite

You are looking for Supernaut. You can get the Trent Reznor vocal version on the Wax Trax Black Box. (Sorry, I'm a NIN nerd too!)

Wow, lots of hits.. i didn't think he'd do all the popular ones, I thought it was going to be most of the new album. I guess I have more to look forward to when he comes back!! :D

I didn't think my 115lb body would survive being in the pit (front row) for the 90+ minute show. But I did, but now I'm hurtin' bad and all banged up and bruised. But oh...
IT WAS SO F*CKING WORTH IT!!! *HUGS* "ouch" *HUGS* "ouch"

Fans were crazy at show 2

The fans were even into it more in the second show.
Trent dove into the crowd during Piggy.

He will be back in the fall in a large setting so the tickets will very easy to get.
Tickets on the street last night were 300-400 per ticket
Cheap when you think what they will be asking for Coldplay tonight at the same small venue

Wasn't that F*CKING AWESOME when Trent jumped into the crowd!!!!! Best part of the show! :D

I spoke to Ryan and Amy (The Dresden Dolls) after the show and they said that the crowd at tonights show (last nights - May 10) was so much better then the crowd at the (May 9) show. Amy said, it was obvious that the true hard core NIN fans were at the May 10 show.

The Dresden Dolls did 3 cover songs last night and they rocked them. First they did War Pigs, then they did a song I wish I could remember the name of the second one cause I loved that song so much and never heard it before.
Then Dillon came out and with The Dresden Dolls performed Karma Police.

Drummer was not David

The drummer was the NIN drummer Dillon, David only plays on the disc
The Dolls even said his name to introduce him.
He has been the drummer for over a decade so I think the NIN fans knew who he was

If you think U2 can blow Nine Inch Nails out of the water, it is obvious you have not seen Reznor perform. I went top the 1994 show with NIN, Mariyln Manson, Soundgarden, & Pop Will Eat Itself. I have seen U2 in concert, I have seen Nine Inch Nails in concert. Let me tell you, the energy, music, passion, and performance of Reznor & Company can compete with the best of them INCLUDING U2! I love U2, I think they are great, but performance wise... Nine Inch Nails can put on a show just as good or better!

I've seen The Tragically Hip, Santana, Stone Roses, Butthole Surfers, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam (to name a few) in concert and NO ONE that I've seen in concert comes even close to putting on a performance at a mind blowing 100% like Nine Inch Nails does, each and every time they hit the stage.

Except for Tori Amos of course. :)

Actually, Jerome Dillon joined NIN on the Fragile tour. Chris Vrenna was the drummer up until that time. (Chris Vrenna now has a band called Tweaker if any of you are interested in what he is doing now. They recently toured with Skinny Puppy.)

I agree that NIN are, by far, the best live band around. There are only a few bands that have that kind of energy. One was Marilyn Mnason in his heyday. It was like watching a comic book on stage. Very entertaining. The other is a relatively unknown band called the Int'l Noise Conspiracy. The singer runs all over the stage climbs the walls, does flips, throws his microphone oout and pulls it back ala Roger Daltry. I saw him collpased on the ground from exhaustion once only to do this awesome move where he flipped his legs up in the air, arched his back and then sprung back onto his feet. Absolutely amazing.

(I know, I'm a nerd! But I work in the music biz and I get to see a lot of concerts.)

Annessa,
Don't get so excited. The music industry is an elastic term. Maybe he works at HMV, which is a good job, don't get me wrong, but probably not what you had in mind.

All I can say is, it was a great show. And I guess I was lucky. I was one of the few who didn't get his tickets through a scalper.
EDIT:
and can anyone please tell me when Tool is coming? That is a show I can't afford to miss.
