It wasn't a spinoff...

It was Unhappily Ever After, a WB show that was a MWC clone. Nikki looked much better in that show. There were lots of hotties in it too! I believe Bobcat Goldthwait was the voice of Mr. Floppy the stuffed dog. I remember Jay Mohr had a show called Action. Where he was an agent in Hollywood. The show went tits up after Mohr 'got blown' in the show by one of his gay male clients.
