I like both teams so it's making my decision difficult. Chicago has a lot of depth, fire power and a bunch guys with a ton of playoff experience so I give them the edge. Then again, Tampa can put the puck in the net and if Bishop is on his game, it could be very close.

Chicago in 6...

I have watched pretty much all the games when Lightning vs Canandians this year. Lightning is one of the best defensive team that I have ever seen in my 3 years of NHL. I like the way how tight they played together as a team. I agree that Chicago has got more final experiences.

My friend's son used to play with Stamkos in Jr. I used to go to his games and even back then you could tell he was destined for the NHL. I'd be happy if he won a cup!

Yzerman quoted today saying soon as the finals are over he'll start negotiations with Stamkos regarding a long term extension. He's prepared to offer the same 8 yr. $72 million deal Toews got with Chicago or whatever it takes as he put it.

TB strikes first. I'd love to see TB take the cup but Chicago has an awful lot of experience.

Hawks sweep, best captain in hockey, most skilled player in Kane, and Duncan Keith is just crazy good.

Lightning hang on and win game 2 to even the series. Now on to Chicago for games 3&4.

Gotta love Toronto sports media. Today's Sun Steve Simmins is claiming Stamkos wants out of TB because he was on the bench for the final 38 seconds in game one. Ya, right Steve.
After reading the article Simmons(I am not a fan in the least) does not ever say that(so calm down Leaf Nation) but he does allow the reader to draw that conclusion. I guess you could say Simmons leads the reader down that path and of course he is a Toronto sports reporter so a certain fan base would read this a run with it.

This was in the last paragraph.

Stamkos is a free agent come next June. Once upon a time, it seemed far fetched that he would ever leave Tampa Bay. But he’s now playing the wing instead of centre, getting second line minutes for a coach who doesn’t favour him.
Although there is truth in the article do not go off the deep end at least until next season starts and Stamkos has not resigned.

I, for one, will not get excited until Stamkos puts 'pen to paper' on a Leafs contract offer next summer. Of course it goes without saying 'if it ever happens at all'. It will not surprise me whatever he does ... resigns with Tampa, signs elsewhere or with the Leafs.

I do not know what to expect tonight as the series switches to Chicago.
The Hawks are 7-1 at home only losing to the Ducks while Tampa has done well on the road with a 7-3 record to date.
In Chicago, with the crowd behind them, three wins from another Cup, knowing that keeping this group of guys together beyond this summer might be impossible, I think they go back to Tampa with a 3-1 lead.

What is up with Bishop ? According to what I could find Cooper has not named who starts game three.
Will Drouin dress again ?

Hawks D Trevor van Riemsdyk(JVR's younger brother) could see his first game action of the Stanley Cup final tonight along with F Bickell. No word on who would come out.

Bolts score late in the third to take game 3. Now the pressure will be on the Hawks to win game 4 as they can't afford to go down 3-1 against a resilient TB team. Yes Ironhead I do believe Simmons is just stirring the pot, he's good at that. I just can't figure out where he gets off saying Cooper doesn't favour Stamkos I think that's a ridiculous claim. Anyways I'm just saying I think Stamkos would prefer to stay with a team that's going to be Cup contenders for the foreseeable future as opposed to coming to a club that's rebuilding, he'll get his big bucks wherever he plays. I seem to recall a few years back when Rick Nash was still with Columbus but on the trade block, Simmons claimed Nash wanted to finish his career in his home town Toronto and as we all found out later the Leafs and pretty well every other Canadian team were on his no trade list. I'm still hoping TB can win it all.

It is amusing (not that I disagreed) that the "depth" question coming into the series was the concern with the Tampa bottom 6. And they are playing great this series and making an offensive impact.

More concern perhaps should have went to the lack of depth on the Chcago blue line -- some teams can absorb an injury to a top 4 d ... Definetely not Chicago.

The hero last night was another draft gem. A 5th round draft pick from 3 years ago.

Scary thing is Drouin may be ready to breakout in a year or two, and is not playing a role yet.

I really admire the Tampa coaching and management. Best in the game IMO.

Bishop looks to be in agony. My guess is left groin or knee strain. He's having a real hard time getting back up from the butterfly. The Hawks have to be wondering why they can't get more past the obviously injured goalie.

Captain Serious (Teows) will avenge the Hawks in game 4. Hawks too good to lose 2 in a row at home.
