Nobody was going to beat that defence this year.
Rams and Bucs "beat" that defence this year.
It's too bad their Ds couldn't stop the Hawks O.
Maye was in a bigger fog, more bewildered, dazed and confused in this game than the Ram's Goff was against the Pats in 2019 SB. Clueless he was. Would not move out of the pocket nor scramble. A deer in the headlights, spooked, frozen in fear and unable to either "flight or fight"
When McDaniels forgot about th ground game after some good gains in their 1st drive and started passing, that's when Maye, McDaniels, the left side of the O-line and the offence as a whole, collapsed. Those 2 rookies on the left side of the line were concierges, opening doors for Seattle's defence.
The Rams offense, their QB and especially their offensive line handled Seattle's "vaunted" defence during the season and especially during the playoffs. Over 450yds during their week 16 game in addition over 550 yds of offence and just 1 sack allowed in the championship game against Seattle.. It was the Rams inability on defence that lost them those 2 games, not the vaunted Seattle defence that won those 2 games..
Maye, the left side of O-line and McDaniels inability to adapt were the major reasons why they made Seattle's defence look like world beaters.
