How terible is that. Lucky he got it after retiring. Your hands shake a lot. You never know what can happen in life.


Brett Favre announced on Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

The Hall of Famer delivered the news at his congressional hearing on federal welfare reform.

"Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others," the 54-year-old said. "I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause dear to my heart.

Favre recently said he believes he suffered "thousands" of concussions during his playing career. Back in 2021, he encouraged parents to keep their children away from tackle football until the age of 14.

Truly sad to see something like this. Tua should seriously think twice before deciding to return to the NFL. There are so many football greats that had brain injuries and died too young Walter Payton Junior Seau, the list goes on and on...

Favre is one of my all time favorite players. Watch his episode of "A Football Life" its most interesting. I hate to hear news like this. The violent nature of the game, particularly back in the 70's-90's, is rearing its ugly head later in life for many.

I suspect it is just a ruse to gain sympathy from the public and the legal system. Never liked the guy, from being a dick to Rodgers, to signing with the hated Vikings, to sexting to female employee while playing for Jets, to embezzlement of public welfare monies to build volleyball courts for his daughter's school.

That being said, concussion is a serious issue especially at youth football level. And Tua needs to retire.
