I don't get out much, but I remember this in a collage and university I went to. No matter how triple brutal the weather is they would be out there for their fix. Kids don't care about killing themselves, that is a problem for future self, they are immortal. However I'd think seeing a bunch of people putting up with horrible wealther to get their fix could/should convince someone not to take up the habit.
I remember when in a point of stupidity I went to one of those private collages, a lot of them are smokers compared to university. Also after a single class they were just antsy from their need for a fix, couldn't go an hour without. They had it bad and it was rather sad.
At least crack and smack give you a really good reward for turning you into an addict.
