What MLB team was the first to wear the "Rally Cap"?

Detroit Tigers
Nope, Tigers of the 40's did have certain players wearing their caps inside-out or in other fanciful ways, but it was not particularly linked to its current usage as a way to urge their teammates to come from behind.

The first team that wore the caps inside out, decades later, did it to urge team mates to come from behind for the win.

If it wasn't the Tigers then about the Mets? They probably were behind more than most of the teams and needed to rally more often.

Ron Fairly?
Nope.

Fairly didn't play in the Jays' first game; the White Sox' starter was George Brett's brother Ken, a left hander. Fairly was the platoon DH against right handed pitchers.
