Not a fan of tell all stories by those in a position of trust whether this or royal household staff or whoever- its tawdry and cheap.
I would assume that Towney has calculated that the proceeds from his book will exceed his future earnings, otherwise it is a risky move to reveal to the world that you cannot be trusted, regardless of the circumstances.

The thing that gets me about Rob Ford is the ongoing need to remain in the lime-light. He could easily drift off into the sunset and be forgotten, but he seems to either enjoy any attention (even if it is bad) or he really feels that he has to stick up for the little guy.

I still think that 4 - 5 years ago his voice was needed to shake up a city council that was drunk in their own power and doing more damage than good to the city. He showed them that they could stand up to the unions and they could work to bring value to the taxpayers of the city. Unfortunately, the rock star image went to his head and he in reality, led the life of a rock star (drugs and booze).

That being said, this guy has a family and he really needs to put them first and politics second (though his past behaviors suggest that he puts himself and career first and family second). Too bad for them.

The one thing that he did accomplish was a new trend in how the media will and can feed/dig on every little thing/issue/behavior a politician does - Which can be good for the taxpayer.

Hopefully, someone close to him sits him down and tells him to walk away from politics, but I feel that his true addiction is the deadly mix of politics and self importance.

Pretty clearly, RoFo had been a drug-addled, foolish sot for many years before becoming a drunken mayor.

The public still deserves to know how much Rob Ford lied to us while in office.
We do about his work but nothing else. This is gossip and meant to make a buck off a tawdry episode. Much like celebrity gossip stories which are none of our business either

So long as the Fords are saying they are quitting politics for good you are right. Have both Rob and Doug said that?

Because if they are saying they intend to run for office the public has an interest in knowing how that office will be run.

T.O.
Harper is that desperate that he will suck this madman's cock for 2 votes.
He's stooped to even more lows in the past couple weeks of this campaign alone.

Papers are noting that Ford was rumoured to have been stopped for DUI by the police numerous times and only driven home.
Good time for Harper to cozy up the crackhead.

Great picture of Harpo Marx and the Ford fartheads together floating around. The three thugs are made for each other
and hopefully will help to seal Harpo's fate on Monday..

The office - yes. The rest - no

And why didn't the police arrest him? Where is the investigation into this?

If twohey saw the things he says- why didn't he report them to police? Why stay as long as he did? I find his behaviour to be as odious as the former mayor

Yep.

He had no spine and he stanchly defended Ford till the bitter end (at least in public). Now he's writing a book to cash in and make a few bucks off the fat man. He should have either blasted Ford out of the water way back when, or kept his mouth shut for all time. He did neither.

Good questions.

This should lead to investigations on the police, assuming there are reports on the officers driving Ford home.
And it should lead to questions about who else is driven home instead of given a DUI.
