I wonder if this incident will result in war... and I wonder if this is the "project" that has been started to take the west out of recession....

Well since the Korean War never ended...it's not a new Korean War, but just the 2nd Period.
The Zamboni must have broken down, that was one hell of a long intermission. :D

Quite a lot of stake in this one, beyond the usual carnage, there will be a wrestling match between China and the West for supremacy. I expect it will cost around 25-30 trillion.

Speak of conspiracy nuts. I suppose all the international experts including the Swede were in on the deal and then we come to the North Koreans.

That WHOLE North Korea regime should have been ousted prior to having the N bomb. Their people that are not part of the military or Government live in worse conditions that those in Heiti. The FOLLY was to think that Dictatorship would die. Once the leader dies his son will take over. It is NOT going away on its own. Allowing such a Dictatorship to survive is ALSO detremental in insentavising other BRUTAL would be dictators such as in Africa. China needs to see that it is best to partner up with its BEST customer , The West, & oust That Inhumane Dictatorship. Unfortunately the North Korea military & Government is so brainwashed by decades of propaganda & isolation that there will not be an internal revolte & I CANNOT see this problem & regime going away without some serious bloodshed. Pitty the local , impoverished population that is unwittingly victamized by That Dictatorship.

huh?.... such a moronic statement ....your statement sounds alot like how the Nazis felt about jews .
i hope most americans do not agree with you

Not at all

I am suggesting we need to be part of the solution or we become part of the problem.

Today's requires more than lip service if it is to survive.

If you mean no one side conquered the other you are correct

Yes, there has been an armistice (cease fire) in place but there has never been a peace treaty signed - principally due to North Korean obstructionism.

By not being missed, do you mean the world being in massive economic depression for 3-5 years is ok with you...?? To me this is another boring Chinese test of a new American regime. I suspect at some point there will be some shooting. American will is being tested. We shall see.

A day after announcing new sanctions on trade and investment in North Korea, Canada has severed its limited diplomatic relations with the DPRK

I say drop the gloves and let's do at least 5 rounds of fighting. Sure, Seoul and Tokyo will be nuked or otherwise destroyed, but damnit, another member of the Axis must fall. Sure we may just drag in the Chinese and get bogged down in a land war in Asia (if you thought Iraq was bad, just watch this!), but damnit, it's for demoracy and freedom.

CRY HAVOC AND LET LOOSE THE DOGS OF WAR!!!!!

That's my piece and I'm sticking to it. Plus, it will make for interesting T.V.

Also, it will give the Iranians and the Middle East time to brew up a new shitstorm because attention will be off of them. Imagine all the possibilities! :D

This war would make Iraq look like a picnic.Kim Jong il is almost like a god there.3 quarters of the population would fight to the death with their bare hands. You would see what would have happened had the Americans not dropped the bombs on japan at the end of WW2.This is one war the west does not want any part of.

We'll be a part of it, if it goes hot.

I highly doubt that it will, but we fought with South Korea before the ceasefire in 1953, why wouldn't we fight with them again? United Nations Command (Korea) does still exist, as I recall.
