Started to watch the throne speech. Could not stomach it. Just a new boob in town ( non-elected to boot ) who is going to fuck the average Canadian and a lot of pomp and circumstance that costs the taxpayer millions (billions) and that is worth nothing in real terms, that is, helping the average Canadian.

I saw a program last week that showed Canadians having extraordinary medical problems who cannot afford the medication to help themselves. Why not get rid of the stupid Govenor General's position ( costing many of $millions per year) and the billion $ debacles the liberal gov't wastes per year and take care of the poor bastards who need drugs to live a "normal life".

red: you my be technically correct regarding Paul Martin being an elected mp; however, he has not been elected P.M. of this country. Yet he will be governing us for the time being.

law reform commission of canada just released a recomendation for a voting system that incorporates proportionate voting.

Unfortunately this leads to minority governments like Italy who incorporate this voting system. It is supppose to encourage consensus.
