reason i didnt buy the pearl is same reason i wouldnt buy this. buttons too close together to do any quick typing. flip looks cheesy too. i'll stick w my standard BB.

Apparently they didn't learn from the failure of the pearl. People want a real QWERTY keyboard if they get a Blackberry.

Personally, I agree with you, gentlemen, as I prefer a full keyboard as well.

However the Pearl was actually a huge success. There is something to be said about the Smarttype software, and its learning ability. In all, the Pearl took the BB out of the boardroom and into the household, and for that it deserves a certain amount of respect.

It is. However, if I was holding off for a new BB, I'd wait for the new 9000 series. I've seen one of the guys in product development carry one around and it's frickin sleek! Black with silver border, HSPDA, and the OS is more wireframe, less cartoony, like the current BB desktop.

Drek - kids toy - 9000 has promise but you will have to fight me to take my Pearl away. Small, unobtrusive, reliable - and the suretype is amazing - The Pearl II is out but still want to wait for the 9000
