Bush, republicans, the war in Iraq, price of gas, economy, global warming, Chinese products, all of that. Once Obama is president, sh*t won't stink any more.
My two cents:
1) The anonymous nature of the internet which allows people to divorce
themselves from the fact they are talking with real people. Even
letter writers generally face some repercussions for what they write.
2) Contentious Elections in both Canada and the U.S. this Fall (and in the
U.S. this means for over a year)
3) the economy
4) an unpopular and polarizing President in the U.S.
5) the last three could probably be summarized as a high level of stress.
