The diet they give to heart patients who have to lose quickly goes something like this.

Morning - grapefruit and bacon.
lunch - salad and citrus
dinner - just about anything. As most have said - no eating after 8:00. There's a lot more to this diet, the main part about it is the citrus, namely grapefruit, which speeds up the rate which the food or fat or calories or whatever is broken down. Basically, eat light in the morning, b/c that is when you break down the most calories - yogurht is good for this.

The key is moderation, moderation and moderation.

The problem with all diets is..they don't work, because they are either to one sided i.e. Atkins, potato, soup.....etc or they leave you hungry.

Figure out you daily calorie needs and eat a balanced diet. There is nothing wrong with butter, fat, chocolates, sweets and cream. Just don't base your whole diet on it.
Eat a little bit of everything every day in the right amounts. Then start excersizing, again moderation, moderation and moderation.
You don't have to go to the gym everyday or run marathon in your first year.
Like all extreme diets, extreme excersize will lead to burn out and loss of fun. Start slowly and do what is fun.

Lost exactly 15 lbs in less than 3 wks. I never fluctate more than 5 lbs in 20 yrs. Even though Wronghole don't tip at MP, I wouldn't want Wronghole to go thru that experience. It's effective but I wouldn't call it safe... ha, ha.

You only need to cut out three foods; white flour, white sugar and salt........and anything that uses them as ingredients. Depending on your current body fat % you will lose about 10- 15 pounds per month. And its safe.
