Need help: where to get tailor suits made at reasonable price in toronto area?

being a bit on the shorter end of the height scale, it had been difficult finding a suit that fit well...

can anyone recommend me a place where I can get a tailored suit (jacket, pant) made at a reasonable price, say somewhere between $500 to $1,000 per suit?

Look for the posts mentioning "Maxwell`s" and "mytailor.com".

Many of my day-to-day shirts are from Maxwell. They`re good value. I`ve seen their suits, and they`re also okay. Don`t expect the same level of fine quality that you`d get from a local bespoke tailor. The fit will be more like made-to-measure. Certainly better than ready-to-wear. Keep your expectations low, and you`ll be happy.

I haven`t tried mytailor.com yet.

I`ve sent you a PM with the contact info of one of the local bespoke tailors I use. He may be able to do something for around $1k.

FYI Maxwells is in the area for the next little while. I think they're at the Sheraton this week.

What about - I think it is called,_ Raja fashion, they were just advertising in the Globe last week , last page, they measure you here, have the suits made in HK, then bring them back her ofr your final fitting. Something like less than half the price of one here.

I've been happy with Prince Henry - http://princehenry.biz/. The swing through Toronto a couple of times a year to take measurements. The suits are made in Thailand then shipped to you.
