Sorry dude... gotta spend at least $400 for a cam with more MP... can't upgrade and existing one.

Besides... why would you want to keep it? It's obsolete! Get with the times! 3.2? LOL!!! :D

Buy the new generation Canon at Walmart. After you opened the box put the old camera back in the new box, return it to Walmart on a sunday afternoon when there is only kids working, voila instant upgrade.

Oooops, forget about what I said. This would not be entirely ethical.

way out in left field
Guy:

My question to you is Why do feel you "need" higher resolution?

Are you buying into that "more is better" mentality?

Are you printing your photos larger than 8 x 10?

Are you doing print photography?

Are you doing Model Shoots?

Catalogue photography?

If you answered No to 1 or more of the above questions, you don't need a higher resolution camera.....save your money for something really worthwhile, like a hot sp! lol

I agree with "Why more?"

I agree with tboy. 3.2 megapixels is good for most purposes.. you can make
8x10s easily and do cropping as well.

I had a Kodak DC4800 with 3.2 megapixels and got great results with it. I upgraded because it did not have a focus assist -- the little light beam that helps focussing in low light.

Until recently, most of my shoots were done with a Canon G2 -- four megapixels -- one of the most under-rated cameras around and available on used for $200 or $300 max.

I have an SLR now but also use a littrle 4 megapixel Minolta that gets excellent results for casual shooting.

You can check out my page listed in my profile. Mods may get upset if I post it here. Most pix there were shot with the G2. one or two with the Kodak
DC4800.

You can PM me if you wish additional info
