I have one of those original city fido plans ($45/month, unlimited inbound/outbound, no sys fee). I have approx 6 more month and then I will be given the option to renew for another 2 years. I am contemplated to get rid of the service. I verified with Fido that the plan can be transfered to another person and still be grandfathered.

Besides having the person take over the reminder of my contract, at what price should I sell off my plan?

Gollumtroll you are out of luck........well some what. I have known this plan to sell for $500 to up to $1000. Yes, believe it.

Unfortunately (for you) now we have three more cell companies out, namely WindMobile, Mobilicity, and Public Mobile.
All of these are offering "Unlimited" Gta calling, from $35 to as cheap as $24 per month. Plus add on for $20 unlimited international callings unheard even for Voip.

I have two of these Old City Fido. First one I renewed at $35. I called to cancel, told them about Windmobile who had $35. If you call, they might even renew yours at $25/month, if you tell them about Mobilicity.

You just have to talk to right person, and tell them about the right offer for leverage, in case you want to renew.

Now to answer your question about what price? Well, question is why would anyone buy a $45 plan when there are cheaper plans like $24 available? Yes they are new companies, but they are offering No - Contract, No Credit check deals. Just can't go wrong.

Fido will tell you new companies have bad reception. But I have yet to hear from an acutal person, client.
