The Prez Comprehensive Shaver Guide
I have a corded Norelco rotary. I have a rechargeable Braun. I like the Schick Slim Twin for facial wet shaves. The Phillips Norelco small rechargeable One Blade is a great tool for the nether areas.
Advantages and Disadvantages. -
1. The corded Norelco will almost last forever with no battery to go bad. It will never go dead in the middle of a shave with a yearly blade change. This is my pre-escort touch up shaver. You can't cut yourself trying to do a hasty facial touch up. Bye bye DFK if you cut yourself.
2. Braun shavers are easy to find blades and parts for. I change blades yearly. The pop up trimmers for both electrics can edge sideburns but can be risky for trimming the darker regions.
3. When you want a really close shave a wet blade razor is the best. In a pinch the Slim Twin can fit into ears and nostrils. Long hairs protruding from the nose can be a mood breaker. Lather lightly then hot towel then re-lather before shaving for a best results. Finish with a few cold water slaps. A great result takes a few minutes longer.
4. The One Blade works well to put a smooooth non-hairy finish on Vice Prezident Johnson and the Cabinet. This pays BBBJ dividends and the One Blade will not scrape, scratch, or pinch sensitive skin. A good small tool for small places. You would not sand a basketball court with a one inch Dremel.
