MVP - i am going out on a limb here but i am picking steve francis(watch out for the magic, they will be the sleeper team in the confrence, only if grant hill can stay healty, bye bye tmac)

and as for rookie of the year, it will be Emeka Okafor. he will be the only rookie this year to be playing over 30 minutes a game

I would not forget Dwight Howard. He will be playing some minutes on the Magic. He could end up in the 13 pt and 8-9 rebound range.

Did anyone catch those highlights of Stevie Francis' dunks? Ouch.
i agree, but Emeka Okafor will be the man in charlotte. just like damon staudomire was for the raptors in the first year.

I'll take a chance.

East - Orlando
West - Utah
Title - Utah
MVP - Wade
Rookie - Okafor

Ok maybe a little to far out.
After last night, Okafor looks tough. Bad team and he'll get lots of time and touches.
Anyone else seen Chris Mihm this year? He looks much improved.

I haven't had the chance to see Francis play live yet but after Orlando's first game I'm definitely going to get tickets for when they come to play the Raps.

Hill's health will play a key factor in their success. They are going to be an exciting team to look for.

Mihm scored 23 points in the Lakers' first game, and then 6 in the second. Given this is his 3rd team in as many years, I don't think he will make anyone forget Shaquille O'Neal, or even George Mikan.

As long as Kobe keeps feeding him the ball... Mihm could lead all western conference centres in scoring. But I'm more stoked about the raptors handing Detroit that loss lat night. Better hurry up and get in line for the bandwagon. Especially now that the Leafs don't exist, Toronto fans will need a different team to semi cheer for. Props to all the die hard raptor fans who never said die.

After Friday's game I'm saying Loren Woods gets Most Improved Player Award ... I know it way too early to tell but he impressed the hell out of me, so much so that my drunk @ss was yelling for them to pass him the ball!!!

At first blush, I thought this statement was absurd. But then I thought, hmmm... Western conference centers... who are we talking about really? Olowankandi? Nestorovic? Ratliff? Foyle? Voskuhl? Hell, Mihm could turn out to be the highest scoring.

Well, I do think before I just spit this crap out onto my keyboard gentlemen.
BTW how bout those Raptors? There's still room on the bandwagonfor all the offseason haters that want to come back.

I'm humoring you. The obvious and most likely answer for highest scoring center in the Western Conference is Brad Miller. The Raptors got blown out by the Kings in Sacramento tonight. No shame in that, the Kings are tough at Arco.

Being a Pistons slappy, I hit that Raptors game and yes they looked good but man, I hate VC. The guy does dick all the entire game with like 8 points up until the last minute and a half. Then, with the game out of reach and a few garbage collectors on the court, Superstar decides to "light up" the Pistons for 4 points the next two trips down the court including some hot dogging. The bitch is soft. Can't wait 'til that hang nail takes him out for the season in a few weeks.

Eastern: Pistons
Western: Spurs
Champ: Spurs (unless Bad Boys II get some guard help off the bench like they got from Mike James last year)
MVP: Tim Duncan
ROY: Dwight Howard
