I must say ... I cheer for the Lakers to win but don't know why ??? They make it so hard to like and Kobe when his team losses isn't very gracious to his teamates or oppostion ...

Celtics have so many feel good stories associated to them ..
I hope the Celtics kick the Lakers around tonight. It will be difficult to close the series out but I don't hate the Lakers, I just happen to like the Celtics.

First half over. The Lakers are absolutely pathetic...getting their girly asses kicked. Is this the best the west can give. They are totally outmatched.

What a great game for Celtics fans! I was very surprised by the blowout though. I guess Kobe still can't get a ring without Shaq. In your face, Kobe!Congrats go out to the Celtics.

The Lakers were smoked, really embarrassing. Celtics just seemed to never miss. Allen with 7 treys, Pierce was unreal and Garnet, what can you say, he just threw the ball hard at the backboard in desparation as he was falling back and it went in, unbelievable. Celtics earned it, they have a way better balanced team, Lakers still need another good, solid forward.

Let me have my sour grapes..

I'm still not convinced the Celts are all that good. It really pisses me off how dysfunctional the Pistons are. Had the Pistons played to their potential, they would have taken the Celts out...and by the way the Lakers play defense, the Pistons would have been champs. I hope all the members of the Pistons realize what an opportunity they threw away this season. Here's hoping Joe Dumars is true to his word, and gets a good trade for one of the core 4..and brings them back to the Finals..

The Pistons are an excellent team but to say how Boston is not that good is laughable. They happen to have three future Hall of Fame players, Rondo could shape up to be a very good point guard, Perkins is only 23 years old with five years NBA experience and plays the post almost as good as anyone.
The bench is not bad either.

The Celtics were built to win this as quickly as possible this past year and won the title in their first year together. They will have to rebuild somehow in the next few years but I am glad they won.

Detroit is going through a bit of a rebuilding phase right now so I wouldn't really be that surprised if they make it to the Finals next year.

Congratulations to the Boston Celtics. You deserve it.

It's the Celtics great defense that made you think like that ... The Lakers looked damm ugly out there and it was because of the Celtics defense ... Offense is sexy defense is often unwatchable ... I watched the Lakers last night and was saying to myself ... This team beat the Nuggets, Jazz and Spurs ... I do think Spurs might have given the Celtics more of a series ...

Duncan vs Garnet ... Bruce Bowen vs Paul Pearce ... and Parker would have taken Rajon Rondo to school ...

Funny eh ... When Spurs aren't in the Finals the East wins ....

Seems like Phil Jackson has a two game losing streak in NBA Finals ... Detroit and Celtics beat him and those teams knew how to spell Defense ...
I'm not sure if the Spurs could have beaten the Celtics. All I know is that the Celtics won it all and I am glad that they did.

saying that ... Have the Spurs ever lost in a NBA Final .. Gregg Popovich is underated as a coach ..
Calm down. I don't think the Spurs would have given more of a series than the Lakers did. The Celtics were getting stronger as the playoffs were progressing.

But I really believe this team could have been had...as shown by their struggles to get to the Finals....certainly they deserve credit for pulling three HOF players together, getting them to play together...and the part that surprised me was the strength of the supporting cast....that was supposed to be the weak link on this team. Rondo and Perkins were not the same players they were earlier in the playoffs...they both matured quickly during this run, showing that they could both be major cogs in the future of the team...I'm just saying the Celts were very vulnerable during this run...and I'm disappointed that a Pistons team, had they been more motivated and focused, could have taken them out...
