Ya then they had the fucking audacity to stage a protest to remain in Canada, a country they are not citizens of. Deport them all
Protests are freedom of expression and protected by the charter.
The charter applies to citizens and non-citizens alike.

You think illegals have a right to say anything or protest about the policies of our country in order to stay here? You cannot be serious. You belong to the streets of Brampton. Go move there.

Everyone has the freedom to express themselves in Canada.
Citizens, non citizens, illegal immigrants or refugees.
Its protected by the charter.
PS: I dont remember illegals protesting anything. I remember TFW and Students, who are legal.

In my opinion, the US is actually in a way better shape, even still, than Canada. The US overall has lower taxes, higher paying jobs and, considerably lower house prices. The biggest issue I see with the US is illegal immigration. Even then, Canada has its own version of this problem; although here they are not referred to as “illegal” but these people have gone through fake and illegal means (such as faking documents) to come here.
The US has lower taxes and higher paying jobs, true. And that's about it.

But the US also has much greater disparity between rich and poor, way shittier workplace culture (if you get 2 weeks of paid holidays a year, you're lucky, not to mention being tied to your job for healthcare), higher violent crime rates, and religious crazies everywhere trying to hijack public policy.

They can keep their higher wages and lower taxes.

Being tied to your job for health care is the single worst thing about the US.

How are they legal when their student permits have expired? They’re protesting because they are illegals and want this to be changed to permanent residency on the grounds of basically nothing? Is it any surprise that they weren’t even attending legitimate institutions in the first place? Because it’s beyond retarded. Then THEN THEEEENN claimed they were victims of fraud. They knew they was in cahoots with the fraudulent strip mall “colleges”. Let’s just call a spade a spade

let’s call liars and scammers what they are

You've raised multiple issues.
Immigration fraud and degree mills are a problem and need to be tackled.
Illegal immigration is a problem that needs to be tackled.
These are different issues.
We were talking about freedom of expression and who it applies to.
The majority of students who protested were not illegals. Atleast not yet.
Even if they were attending strip mall colleges knowingly, they currently hold a visa issued by Canada.
They were protesting the federal and provincial policy changes that would impact their visa status.
They have the right to do that.
Even if they are illegal immigrants who have overstayed their visas, our charter allows them freedom of expression.
Freedom of expression is being able to say things that are offensive or disagreeable.

Nazi is a word that should never be cheapened to merely include people that don't agree with you.
Okay?

Would "very fine people on both sides" be more palatable to you?

Feel better now?

Universities were cut back and told to make up the difference with larger tuition from international students. Until they were cut.
Timmies, uber eats and other corps told the government they wanted cheaper labour so they got temporary foreign workers. Until they were cut.
