The number one source of immigration to Canada now is from India, not the PRC, with many coming to the GTA. Most are educated and affluent and the ladies amongst them are not likely to go into the trade. I have seen a lot of beauties in the stores and malls, a lot of cockteasers.

Not necessarily, the EI ladies in the trade in the GTA were likely born and raised here and would be in the trade for reasons similar to their fellow sex workers, reasons of economics, personal choice but not necessarily because they are uneducated. Another group in the GTA are from the WI ( West Indies) from places like Guyana or China. The recent wave of new immigrants to Canada, India mostly and some from Bangladesh are often fairly affluent to very affluent often married, with usually higher education than the average Canadian and under the control of strong patriarchal societies such as a father, brothers or a husband.
A few years ago I met a married woman who appeared to be non- secular from Muslim Bangladesh who was preparing to go to grad school here. One day she asked me about how many women I had been with and that her she was “lonely “ for three years and that her husband slept downstairs. She was not shy about showing a bit of cleavage, but otherwise unattractive.

The recent arrivals are not driving cabs. Many are occupying luxury mansions in places like the east side of Markham and more would have arrived save for the pandemic.
