I am wondering if anyone has experience building a new page on my website. It is for residential snow removal and I am tired of driving around to everyone's house late in the evening to collect cheque. I would like to be able to have my clients sign up and pay directly through the website. I'll need to get a Credit Card Service for this and I already have a Paypal Account too.

I don't have the time, energy or patience to learn how to do this all over again, my website is up and running, please let me know what you would charge and I'll give you another site that resembles something that I am look for. We can use the PM to further discuss the details to keep our personal lives private. My website is currently through Yola.

Thanks

We accept email transfer also, but the issue usually is their so old or outdated with computer stuff they dont know how to do it lol. Or they just dont want to try, usually they mail the cheques also, but waiting for Canada Post is a pain in the ass. Im hoping to dorect my clients to the site, pay up front for the season, not monthly anymore, just a waste of time, for me and them to write post dated cheques.

We dont use plows, only hand shovels with a crew of 2 per driveway, results in a much better clearing and less call backs too. As far as being blocked in from the city, it is clearly stated in the contracts that that portion is not covered if we have come by already and cleared the driveway, they have to pay a second seperate visit for that, hence why we always clear the left side of the curb too

Check your hosting service features first and see if they offer a eCommerce / Payment features as easy addons. PayPal will likely be your easiest approach. You will need a Merchant account with someone like Merchant-Accounts.ca to process Credit Card payments. Now all that is the easy stuff.. after that finding or building code to integrate to the provider will take some time and $ that will likely prove not to be worth it in the end.

Just my 2 cents.

And what makes you think that they will pay through a website. Why not just hire a kid, or one of your own, to collect cheques. You can phone the customer to make sure the cheque is ready, and you will know how many cheques are supposed to come back with the kid.
