Damn! My left foot hurts around the heel area. I think it is these stupid flip flops I have been wearing all Summer. They don't provide enough shock absorbing material:mad:. I think these "Made in China" flops were designed for shorter lighter men.

I am leaning towards your wearing cheap gay flip flops.

It is likely your gate is different when you have your chick shoes on.

Rock,

Don't fuck around with your feet. They are not like other things. You can go somewhere if you have an elbow pain, but if this continues you won't be able to walk.

Go see Doctor NOW. And if one doesn't pay full attention, go see another.

Don't make it worst by keep walking in flips. Wear your best support shoes, maybe like favorite joggers....whatever.

Good luck.

I had plantar faciitis and went to my chiropracter...

He showed me an exercise and massage technique that fixed the problem.

For a permanent solution, wear proper footwear!

i was going to say the same thing. do grown men wear flip flops. i thought they were for women and children
The only place it is acceptable for a grown (straight) man to wear flip flops is in the locker/steam room or at the pool.

A Man can wear whatever the fuck he wants, flip flops included.

And if it's plantar faciitis, you seriously need to get a professional opinion. Been there, done that. Damn painful, don't want to go through that again.

Ladyboys also like to prance about in a sprightly manner in them...

Shoes. Do they do more harm than good? I heard on radio that many runners (which I am not) have abandoned shoes and are running barefeet.

It might be time to have that foot amputated. No need to endure anymore suffering

there's a new scam every minute. do you like that one? basically, if you heard it on the radio or tv, it's most likely a scam. (i.e: naturopath, homeopath, 5 minute weight loss, hair restore...)

I'm a runner and I'm buying into the theory (Just bought myself a pair of Vibram Five Fingers, shoes that emulate barefoot running)
http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/products/products_KSO_m.cfm .

There seems to be a growing body of evidence that shoes with high amount of cushioning acutally do more harm than good. Logically it follows that a lot of running shoes are very ridgid and mask a lot of the feeling of the ground, since we've lost most of the feeling we don't auto correct our balance properly and use muscles in our legs rather than feet to compensate for this and in turn causes a lot of common problems like Shin splints and plantar facitis as you are putting strain on the wrong parts of the leg/Foot.

More expensive running shoes have very high arch support. This leads to a lot of Heel strike running. This is an improper way of running as this puts a lot of stress on the legs and joints. The more proper way to run is striking with the forefoot first and act like a spring and lessen the impact over the rest of the leg. Try running a bit barefoot you'll find you are mostly on the balls of your feet vs with running shoes where you hit with your heel first.

Grab a tennis ball and gently roll it under your foot putting a bit more pressure on your instep after a week increase pressure not to much a bit at a time to stretch it. It will be fine in no time
Flip flops are not the cause it could be a ton of reasons, do not coddle it just do what you usually do plus th ball and you will be fine
