So I just logged into Twitter for the first time since yesterday morning. Lo and behold my account is on suspension for 12 hours due to the following.
I responded to a tweet by Bill O'Reilly stating the the Cincinnati Bengals were either planning to kneel during the national anthem as a team or were going to choose to stay in the locker room during the playing of it. To which I responded "I hope they tear their ACL's"
Twitter stated this is a violation of their terms because I wished physical harm or violence on someone. Unbelievable! I see some of the most vile tweets from those on the left and they largely go unchecked. Twitter is blatantly obvious in their selective condemnation of those who they disagree with. They have no respect for the 1st Amendment whatsoever. Sad fucking society we live in today. The new age of liberalism is a complete joke.

Just so that we are clear. On twitter both the RIGHT and the LEFT behave badly when it suits their needs.

I would not call Twitter left wing. What you are seeing is capitalism - the banning of things that might affect there bottom line. I was banned for far longer for a left wing remark - stop being a snowflake.

However, I will agree with you in the general destruction of free speech - from flag burning not being supported to Holiday Trees - but bottom line if the market does not push it it wont end up staying re Captain Marvel as MCU centerpiece.

I"m not being a snowflake I'm just pointing out clear hypocrisy on Twitter's part. It's been shown time and time again that they unfairly target those who would be considered 'right wing' in political orientation. My remark was made flippantly - does Twitter seem to think that it will result in any one of those players tearing their ACL? They just don't like or agree with what I said.
Yet they seem to have no problem when videos of a black man punching an old white man get posted and users condone, and even encourage, more of that behavior. Just follow Rex Chapman's feed for numerous examples.

Again it has to do with capalims - its right wing if you thing capalism is right wing - they ban whatever they think will cost them dollars - and with IT technologies the audience tends to be "leftist" - when I worked retail they banned xmas talk because they wanted to expand there market share - I don't think it worked particularly but alot of this is in pursuit of the dollar - hand the Dixie Chicks been more biz oriented they would not have lost their carrers for one minute of talk.

Imagine a world where free speech applies to everything. I could walk into your home and start lecturing you on shit and you could not kick me out. I could walk into an apple store and start yelling that android is much better and they could not kick me out. If I work for your company, I could talk shit about the company and it's products in front of customers and I could not be fired.

If it makes you feel any better, I got Twitter banned for 12 hours because I wished Kimberly Guilfoyle a slow, painful death after she was diagnosed with Covid.

PS: I already follow Rex Chapman. In fact, I own a Block or Charge t-shirt from his merch store. It has the BLM logo on the back and all proceeds go to a BLM organization in Kentucky.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: During the game or while getting up from kneeling? :ROFLMAO: Would love to see a domino effect of torn ACLs as each player got up from kneeling :ROFLMAO:
It’s the Bengals. What you’re describing is very realistic.
