I just stumbled across this thread and it brought back memories. Last time I was at Barb's has got to be 5 years ago. Was in Ottawa for some business and managed to visit Barb's at every opportunity...evening and lunchtime. Had a great time. The memories bring a smile to my face. I particularly remember a few promotions while I was there: mud wrestling one evening...another evening an auction for a limo ride around town with one of the dancers. (Should have bid higher!)

Apparently, by-laws, cops, and fire marshalls are taking turns paying visits to them this week.

So that happens shortly after this thread mentions the offer of extras there. Coincidence?

I am usually just a lurker - I make few posts but I have to report my experience at Barb's today.

Mia has a killer bod but it comes with a strange attitude. Talking to her today, her attitude was one of "hurry up and give me your money so that I can go onto the next guy". And, there was a lineup of guys for her. Guys were actually waiting for her to finish with one guy so that they could have their turn.

This was my first experience like this - all smiles and friendly but just wants to get my money and move on. Oh well, it is just a business and she has the demand. My money stayed in my pocket.

Visited Barb's during lunch yesterday to see if anything has changed. To me, the noticable thing was that the bouncer must have passed by twice in the three songs I had in the CR. The dancer was formerly from Pigalle's so knew the "score". She was being correct though. If she ever goes back to Pig's, I'll be sure to see her there to see if there is any difference in mileage. I'm expecting yes.

I may have used the term generically. This guy was huge....though he may not have been a "bouncer". The point is, they are policing what goes on in the CRs

He isn't a bouncer in the sense that he works the front door. But this individual does patrol the CRs, I've never seen it done quite that much (2 trips in 3 songs) but it seems pretty consistent.

Sounds like LE has given them the warning to police themselves or they'll do it for them. No clubs for me, now.

I liked the place. I't fairly clean and most of the girls are good looking. The only part that stinks is, that you sometimes come out hornier then you went in...

I was talking to my favorite lady about the topic of the folks that tour the back area -- I dont know that its a bouncer or simply the manager in charge. The guy I think you are referring to seems like a nice enough guy, and he does make trips through the back room more often than others, so I dont think this is a new thing.

The guy you are referring to is Stephane, the day manager. Great guy, but he has a job to do & he does it well.

Barb's is okay, one of the first strip joints I ever went to, so it left a great impression! Got a dance from a girl I still remember clearly!

Club Pigale, in Gatineau, is the hottest place I've been. Never disappointed there. There are a few other small ones in Ottawa also, but Pigale reigns supreme so far.
