Here, there and everywhere.
Yes, wait the 7-10 days, do a quick tug the first time after and see how you feel.

Make sure you use a condom until you have a new lab tests that show no swimmers !

Take it easy.

who gets to eat those peas?
lol - still in the plastic bag

took the afternoon off work - desk job

update - swelling not too bad but a small bruise on 1.5" by .5" from the base of my penis to the upper part of scrotum

still taking ibuprofen - definitely take it easy this weekend

does no sex mean no blowjobs either?

I did not have sexual relations with that woman... Miss Lewinsky.

No blowjobs either. Your not supposed to cum at all or they could become untied. That's what I was told by the Dr that did mine.

I waited two weeks. It's been 2 years since I had it done, and no side effects, so far. Everything is functioning normally.

I hope he gave you antibiotics to take home, cause at least 1 in 3 guys get a minor infection afterwards
If your vasectomist has a 1/3 infection rate, he / she needs to stop doing the procedure. Actual rates are inthe single digit %s, and are lower with NSV.

I didn't drive home after...relaxed at home for a couple of days, then everything seemed fine.

SO was pestering me for sex about 2 days after, but I refused for 7 (as the doc instructed)...I was a bit pissed off at her because if something happened it could be really bad, so better to be safe than sorry.

No pain, just a bit of discomfort the first day or so

All this talk about bruising, swelling, painful sex etc reinforces yet again DO NOT LET any amateur butcher who has not taken the time to learn the "Gentle Vasectomy" procedure near your balls! I watched the procedure intently and it really is so simple. The idea that you'd have to cut open a guy's bag to accomplish snipping the vas deferens is barbaric!

whats done is done - hopefully whoever is considering getting it done will choose wisely

Im sure DR J appreciates the accolades on an escort review board!

The point rubmeister was making (maybe a bi too emphatically) was that the no scalpel technique has clearly been shown to be better. Sure the traditional way gets the job done, and chance of problems is still very low, but all of the studies show nsv to be better. My only problem is that i have no scar at all!!!'it will be impossible for me to "prove" to anyone ive had it!!

Some prudent advice....

1. Take it easy for a few days NO MATTER how good you feel!

If you do anything strenuous you have a very real risk of a haematoma (internal bleeding) and a sack full of blood that will go black and blue and take a long time for the swelling and pain to go away. Like weeks and weeks.

2. Keep the frozen peas routine up for three or for days.

3. Take Advil to keep inflammation from developing.

4. Support the Lads!
Wear your jockstrap for a week to reduce risk of haematoma.

5. No baths, soapy showers only and keep the wound clean and dry for a week to ensure no infection. Use the Triple Antibiotic polysporin.

6. No sex for at least two weeks, again to prevent haematomas
This is very good advise!

Best place for a vasectomy is the " So Simple Vasectomy clinic in Oakville. Simple painless operation that lasts 10 minutes. I was back to playing sports and fucking in 7 days. In fact I went back to work right after the procedure with a jock stuffed with an ice pack..

Awwwwww Dr. J sounds soooooo sweet and caring! And his secretary sounds so nice too!

Everybody LOVES and worships their Doctor if they get warm fuzzies.

FACT is that the conventional surgical technique the average urologist or general surgeon performs is crude compared to the No Scalpel Vasectomy. But it takes extra training and practice to learn and use it. There is NO downside except more training for the Doc.
But also tomput it in perspective, although the nsv technique is superior in terms of post op pain, complications etc. Conventional approach is a pretty close second, andmall things considered, a very minor op.

actually the standard procedure uses two incisions on each side of the scrotum, mine was done with one very small one, I'm not sure if he used a scalpel or hemostat to make the hole - maybe I got the keyhole or no scalpel after all.

Just as an update - my girlfriend came over last night so we decided to give it a go, starting with some nice easy DT then some gentle BBFS CIP, there was no pain or discomfort at all last night or when we hit it again this morning.
