We all heal differently so hard to answer that question specifically for you. One week is a joke, no way. There is too much swelling around the balls and it's very sensitive. You'll look like a porn star with those huge balls, lol. Anywhere from weeks to months to heal depending on how well you take care of yourself. I had a friend who needed to have sex after a couple of weeks and he aggravated his wound and then got worst. Use your own judgement, you'll know when.

One proviso, I don't know about today's practice, perhaps it's better for healing. I'm talking about 10 plus years ago.

My brother had to wait 2 weeks, but then he's hung like a bull and they swell up something fierce, then he still had to use condoms for 6 months followed by another check up to make sure there was a complete severing, a reconnect, or some such thing.

So did you get a regular one or a "no scalpel" one?
regular but doc was really good, I put a bag of frozen peas 20 min on 20 min off for 3 hours after

not too much swelling or any bruising that I can see - just tender

I was able to dive home 30 min after

Sounds the same. I think the only difference is how they sever one small tube.

Anyway I had a nice bumpy ride back home. Still remember that.

small incision with only one stitch

he showed me the pieces they send to the lab - two small bits of white tubing

I was still frozen on the ride home so no issue there

With this unseasonably mild weather, you wanna be back out on the course asap. But I advise sticking to the putting green for the first day. Better safe than sorry.

Everyone is different obviously, but let your symptoms be your guide, as well as your drs advice.
Mine said no action for a week, with partner or solo. So exactly 168hours later, i had to do a solo test run. Worked ok, a bit of discomfort. A couple days later tried the real thing- gently and with her doing most of the work. That was ok too. So tried again, a bit more vigorously 2days later- started to really hurt, so much i couldnt finish - so now i had vasectomy pain plus the worst case of blue balls as well!!

For me i hurt for weeks. I had the "gentle" or no scalpel technique. No bruisi g was obvious at all, but it took a long time to settle. So from my experience, you are going to need to go slow, no matter what. And as others have said, even if you think you feel ok, do nothing for the first 2-3 days. I know a guy who felt great, so he decided to do some light yard work for a few hours the day after, he paid for it with a sack swelled up like a coiple grapefruits and a week off work.

This is the really important part and I assume it's part of what your doctor told you. Make sure your SO (if there is one) is using birth control or, use a condom yourself until you go back to have your sperm count checked.

Had mine done in mid-October at the Canadian Mens Clinic (Yonge/Eglinton) and it was excellent. No scalpel procedure.

There was slight discomfort occasionally for about a week. Definitely don't push yourself even if you feel good for 1-2 weeks just to be safe.

I waited 2 weeks before sex just to be sure.

Just had my first of two semen analysis tests a couple of weeks ago and the results were NO sperm present. Woohoo! So now only one more test in a couple of weeks before it is officially good.

I had mine done in 1980 and was told no sex for 7 to 10 days. Had it done on the May long weekend Friday and went back to work on the Tuesday. Had no complications at all. Didn't want to rattle the boys much so the first sex after getting it done was a blow job. It kinda hurt but felt good too when I blew off.

The scrotum is amazingly flexible.
I know a guy who spread his out to the point he could hide a dinner plate underneath it.
He did it using a dart board. Stretched it first lengthwise, put a dart in it to hold it in place.
Then each direction and held it in place with another dart.
Yah ..... he's kind of sick.
I must do that! I must!

The first time you bust a nut is pretty gross.
It's often got blood in it.
I'm sure this is possible but it was not my experience at all (had mine over 20 years ago). I did, however, jerk-off for my first ejaculation after the procedure (can't remember how long I waited) as I was not sure what the experience would be like. I figured I'd rather just "share" the experience with myself in case it went badly!
