I like Limewire although I find it locks up a lot and I have to reboot my system.

Nothing...I buy my music, I don't steal it!!!!!! :D
It has nothing to do with stealing. It has to do with bringing the music industry down to earth. It is absurd that an elaborate network of record companies and distributors have made a killing over the last 3 decades. I work in a completely different industry where every day it becomes less profitable because of tough competition, China, etc...
Let those record companies trim some fat. Everybody else has to.

Shareaza is by far the best available. It is still a less-known P2P.

If any wants the best P2P resource check out Zeropaid it tracks and rates all the different P2P

Have used all 3 in the past but haven't been DL much of late. With these 3 you can find any song you want past and present.
All are spyware free.

There's spyware with shareaza, and it keeps running in the tray after you exit.

The record industry says they are loosing billions going to illegally downloaded music. The truth is that most people would not buy a whole album every time they want to listen to a song nevermind keeping it. I download a whole bunch of music, 90 % of which I delete again because I don't like it or don't want to keep it.

I think most people are like me who download to sample and then get rid of it.

Downloading may be bad for the 50 Cent and Beyonce artists of the world, but it is a godsend for the new up and coming artists.
