I don't know if this is the place to post this anyway.
A few months ago a SP was murdered on Mabelle ave.
I just found out today that she was a waitress that worked at a local restaurant that I frequented on Dundas st. in Etobicoke.
She served me several times and though she was not a beautiful girl, you easly overlooked that, for she always had a smile and was a fun person to talk to.
A hard worker who tried her best to make it better for herself and her son.
Though I didn't know her that well, I can't understand how someone can do something like this!!!
Does anyone know if the "animal" and it is an insult to animals to call him that, has been caught?

I believe he's still out there. It burns me up that this animal, as you so properly put it, is still walking the streets.

Yes, he is still out there , what I think is sad is that ladys who are in this industry don't seem to be top priority to police .. sad but true.

A good friend of mine who was a prostitute was murdered many years ago [10yrs ago] and the police still haven't found the person or people who did this awful crime to her .I believe and so does her family no one even tried to arrest someone, because of the profession she was in.

the problem is SPs are afraid to report any incident, however minor, to the police.
i guess they are afraid of being "discovered"
i came across a "psycho" client once, and last time i saw him was at his sentencing where he was being hauled off to Kingson Pen...

Is it really so clear that police inaction is the reason that the murderer has not yet been found? They've found the couple that killed the male MPA on Walmer Road.

I am not attempting to issue a blanket defense of the police. Sometimes, yes, they are willfully negligent in cases like this - the Pickton case springs immediately to mind. But I don't think a blanket condemnation is in order either.

It's hard enough for them to find the murderer in the gang murders, where at least there are many people involved (however unwilling they are to talk). In the case of the murder of an SP which happened when the girl didn't make verification and follow-up by friends a matter of routine ... well, I'm glad it's not my job to investigate the case.

Those who criticize the police on their efforts should include answers to the following two questions in their posts:
  • What are the police doing?
  • What should the police be doing?

One has to look at Robet Piction and the many woman he is charged for murdering. Police inaction led to more missing woman and the calls for action were largely unheeded for so many years but there was a vocal minority who did not keep quite.

The worse thing people can do is forget or minimize with time the person whose life was taken away.

My belief in calling her an SP and her tragic passing away stigmatizes her and hinders the effot to find her killer(s).
