Anyone else getting bombarded with e-mails allegedly from Microsoft offering security updates in attachments. I get the regular ones on the task bar once in a while, but have had about 12 today. They are always followed by an 'undeliverable' message.

Chris, you are receiving either a virus or worm with these e-mails. There was a warning about this about a week ago from Microsoft. They do not send out individually addressed e-mails from their support group.

I suggest you update your anti-virus software and then run a check on your system. You will probably find some nasty surprises. I was getting these and asked my IS guy about it and he ended up having to spend about an hour cleaning up my system.

Sorry about that.

I'd suggest that you find an ISP that blocks that crap out for you automatically. There are hundreds (thousands?) that use a service from http://www.postini.com that blocks out viruses and up to about 99% of spam. There are hundreds more that use other systems to do the same (not quite as effectively though).

I'd put a blatent plug for my own service, but that'd be inappropriate and probably not good in terms maintaining anonymity.
