All of a sudden, the mouse for my home PC is acting up. It keeps going back to the bottom left corner, where the Start button is.

I've tried 2 others that i had and still same thing. Make me think its not the problem with the mouse but the system?

Anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it?

Your computer is either one of two things...

A) Its Haunted.

or

B) Its Possessed.

Your Solution.

Call an Exorcist.

You must have been surfing US sites.
As a result, your PC has been remotely taken over by Homeland Security and you PC contents are being scanned by the FBI, CIA and HS for anti-terror, drug, child porn and who knows what other evidence....
Just sit back while they copy your HDD over to their Big Brother Master Data Banks, in a Top Secret location somewhere in the USA.
As the loyal bushies say, you have nothing to fear as long as you are innocent.

I found it was a program causing the problem. In this case it was Norton Utilities.

What type of mouse do you have on my laptop I use an optical mouse sometimes the touchpad likes to take over if I bump it with the palm of my hand without noticing

and I have notice with optical mouse they do not work so well if your not using a mouse pad with it. like if your using it on the table top or depending if your using a laptop on your lap or any hard surface you can find, sometime it fixes itself out others yuo just end up getting a different mouse.

Strange the Norton would cause this... i had an issue once where my mouse kept freezing after a few minutes, turned out to be the video drivers, once I updated them, it worked fine.

I once had the same problem with my laptop. It was solved when I took it apart and vacuumed inside it with a small nozzle attachment, especially the keyboard.
