And you better add that oil squirter to deal with all those idiots on the highways that try to jump ahead of you by passing on the inside lane that is merging into the lane you are in!

Try a 1999 Porsche Boxster

I think an interesting sub question would be what is the best "poor man's" sports car(i.e. under $100 k bonus points if it ends up being significantly less)?[/QUOTE said:

Oral/Perry, know what you mean. I drive the old beater to boxed off the shoulder riders and the weave in/outers. Especially hate those that pass you then decide to slow down.

When it comes to driving, GT can be an offensive sob. Love that Manhattan offensive urban driving.

you guys forgot the Lotus Exige and Lotus Elise. I can nothing for a car that can go fast in a straight line, it's all bs. It takes no engineering skill to have a huge displacement engine and make the car go fast, what takes skill is making the car go fast around a corner. I think if u put a Lotus in a drag race it'd get killed by most of these cars, but put it on a track with a little bit of precipitation and you'll be eating this car's dust.

Bugatti Veyron - 407+km/h with 0 to 60m/hr @ 2.5 sec

One serious beast write up in Star Wheel section Oct 8, 2005.

Do 0 to 200km/h @ 7.3 secs and 300km/h @ 16.7 secs!
Holds the world record for production cart @ 407.08km/h beats McLaren F1 386.4km/h.

VW revived the brand. It's a 987hp with W16 engine (2 x V8).

For a cool $1.5 mil, it too can be your's by invitation. For the ladies, keep your eyes on the speedometer (not his speedo) as it has two 1-carat diamonds cut with 16 faces on the speed dial.

Saw the Lotus Elise in Yellow @ the autoshow few years back, it's slick. Somehow I don't think Yellow is a Bond colour.

Nissan Skyline.

Very few have heard of it ...even less have ever seen it ... none of us will ever drive it.
G35 is the closest thing here ...

But I personally prefer the Sylvias' ...

But I did see a white R32 at U of T once though.

According to my buddy who's a mechanic, he worked on one once, and the owner told him, it was the worst piece of shit he ever bought (believe it was the 2nd one he purchased) 328 or 308, the dash kept falling off, and a lot of other minor bugs.
For the kind of money he spent, he said, he didn't expect that kind of quality.

Yeah, if you see a Skyline in Canada, it is certainly used, perhaps 2nd or 3rd hand. Considering that, it is obvious that things would fall apart. However, the GTR is known for it's engine. As for reliability, all high performance cars aren't really reliable because they undergo alot of stress ... specifically the drivetrain.
As for dashes and stuff falling off, it's what happens to older cars ...

I have friends who bought old Civic SiR, SiR-II, Type-R etc. etc. engines from Japan and drop it into their Hondas. Swaps costly anywhere between $3000-$8000. Usually there is no airconditioning too because it's incompatible.
As for importing the whole car ... that's just a real fanatic ... hehe ...

Every other car is ..well...just a car...
You want to talk about tuners? How about Trust, HKS and APEXi for yah?!?! Or AC Schnitzer, Alpina, Racing Dynamics and AMG?

In terms of Benz tuners, I would rank Brabus after AMG ... hehe :D AMG has a proven track record, especially in the DTM ... and have you seen the AMG CLK GTR? That thing is awesome !!!
