I am getting very sick and tired of watching the same morons on TV all the time spewing garbage about their views on hockey. Although I could vote for all of these guys (and some that I even left off), I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thought.

I think it's Cherry. All about agendas and takes too many stands that are for the most part retarted.. he has the occasional decent idea. Sure he has alot of national pride, but that does not mean he represents us well.

I voted for Glen Healy. This is one guy that is sooooo annoying to me. I started hating the guy during the lock out when he was just way too pro player. Not on the list, but for me - Jody Vance on LeafsTV. She sits there like a house plant for all to admire with that ear to ear smile all the time and tries to be one of the guys with the nicknames, etc. I don't care how good looking she is (or for that matter, thinks she is) sorry, she doesn't do it for me on hockey telecasts.

Glad to see the discussion. When I posted the poll, Cherry and McGuire were my ringers - I like them, but knew others didn't. Two of my favourite McGuire stories: i) when he was covering the 2005 World Juniors, he kept talking and drooling about being in the dressing room and seeing how muscular the players (age 18) were - I think we might have identified a closet Chester the Molester; ii) one of my favourite lines from him in the both is: "he downed him like a free beer at a keg party".
Here is my run down on the rest. Kyprios amd Healy are grumpy old morons who would never, ever had landed a gig on tv if they hadn't played hockey for the Leafs. No wonder all the old players want to sign with the Leafs - even the least talented players in the league are set with post-playing careers. If I ever saw Healy on the street, I swear I would punch him in the mouth. Millen is just annoying, not polished, and only focuses on the goaltenders - regardless of what else happened in the play. Harry the Homer is just too biased for my liking - if CBC banned him from doing Leaf games on HNIC, perhaps I would like him. However, I have to give him kuddo's for one of the best one-liner's in history when a picture of Tim Hunter came on the screen: "He looks like he ran the 100 meter dash in a 60 meter gym". I still get tears in my eyes when I think of that quote and the flat, Bill Cosby-esque nose that always adorned Hunter's hockey cards. Bill Waters is on TV, in my opinion, as proof as to why the Leaf's suck - listening to his thoughts, and realizing that he brought most of the players to town, is evidence enough of why the team will never win. Scary Al is the most frightening guy on television. What morgue did they pull him out of and couldn't they pay for some hair plugs? Another guy I would punch in the face if I ever saw him; however, unlike Healy, I am sure Scary Al would crumble to pieces - there is no way that guy did anything other than play Dungons & Dragons as a kid. MacLean is just too damn cocky and thinks his moral agenda should be adopted by all. Finally, Coconut Head Domi should get into the family business of bribing government officials and selling computers, as he is less talented on TV then he ever was on the ice - and that is an extremely hard accomplishment.

i really do like Drew Remenda on the west feed of HNIC. he's funny and knows the players well, too. you won't catch him asking the very difficult questions, a la Watters, Strachan and Millen, but he doesn't conscribe rumours, either, a la Mackenzie, Hodge, and Sansone's buddies from the score.
