It is their prime directive. Cops are not the law, nor above it. Many cops make more than 6 figures, so the few can force the public to give them blow jobs, and bully the civilians? And if they get caught, they get suspension with pay, so they don't loose their 6 figure income? No wonder they don't care if they fuck up. Hey free paid vacation at the expense of tax payer's money. Yes they are public servants. but it's been clearly discussed in past thread and shown that the Police Services in Ontario have more scrutuiny and oversight then almost occupations in Canada already. The officers in the video are in the US. We can't really do much about them. I've not once defended their actions in this thread, just questioned and challenged other members accusations.
As I've mentioned by now numerous times there seems to be a significant difference between urban forces where these incidences seem to occur in almost all cases, and rural forces. Actually there are very few police forces that use that cute but oversimplified moto to describe their purpose. Organizations and academics who actually study and examine policing describe a police services purpose as something more complex that that.
