For anyone who hasn't heard this factoid yet, I think it's kinda interesting:
The actual quote Armstrong said was "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind". When you leave out that "a", it doesn't make sense because "man" and "mankind" mean the same thing. It seems like he just didn't annunciate it that well and will forever be misquoted.
And since I like showing it off at any possible opportunity, a couple years ago I bought a Dobsonian telescope and I love it. They're like $800 new, but there's lot of good used ones on the classifieds sites. I got this one for $300 including some accessories. I took that moon photo by holding my phone up to the eyepiece.
