The monthly fee subscription only is handy if you live within a 5-10 minute drive off a car wash facility that offers this service.
I wash my cars in the winter usually every 2-3 weeks (I have 2 cars) or depending on how much slush, salt or dirt is on the car in the winter months.
I polish and wax my cars 2 times a year (early spring and late fall seasons)
