For the upcoming 2024 season, with runners on base, the pitch clock will be reduced to 18 seconds from 20, Chris Bassitt is pissed!, this will fuck up Manoah even more.

You're probably right about those 2 being pissed off. Didn't they also reduce mound visits from 5 to 4? Two seconds and one mound visit, we'll see. I like that the game has been speeded up, but where is the sweet spot and have they found it yet?

When we get to 2 hours and 30 minutes average game time. They went from 3:06 to 2:42 from 2022 to 2023.

Serious question. Will there be less revenue from less commercials for the broadcaster or will we have the same number of ads resulting in a higher percentage of broadcast time taken up by ads. I don't think that they can charge the advertisers more unless the TV ratings are higher.

That could be the sweet spot, 2-1/2 hrs. Usually how long an NBA game is ...... sorry I am no longer a hockey fan after they expanded from the original 6 teams. :ROFLMAO:

Regulation time is 48 minutes for an NBA game. Maybe the NHL should reduce their regulation time from 60 minutes to.....................?

Hopefully Manoah's better conditioning will mean he won't need the plentiful recovery time he used in 2022 and needed (but couldn't get) in 2023 between pitches. Lets hope for a Manoah recovery year, he and The Jays could use it.

Was anybody complaining about the length of hockey games?

The topic at hand is the baseball pitch clock. And baseball doesn't even have a game clock so it is a totally different animal..

Once again, instead of trying to hijack threads and continually drive them off topic, have some respect for the OP and the topic they wish to discuss.
