Has anyone tried Microsoft Security Essentials? It's getting good reviews although some say not so much that you should ditch AVG or Avast (which is what I'm running).

I can't believe Microsoft finally got something right.

Been using Microsoft Security Essentials on my new PC since last november with NO problems. Microsoft Security Essentials is easy to use, scans fast and is not a resource hog. I like it.

That said I don't use W7 that much preferring to run Linux instead which requires no AV.....

MSE is awesome. It's low resource and does a great job, plus it's integrated into Windows so all the updates are done through Windows Update.I know a bunch of people who have it installed and they love it.

For now it's free. I got it off the M$ site.

I have been using it on two systems for over 6 months problem free. Works well, runs fast and its free. Yeeaaaa MS!

I think this may be the only piece of MS software I use that operates problem free
