If Elliot is homeless I hope Rourke compensated him well. Rourke may be loco but not when it comes to money, and he got a nice payday for Iron Man II.

Rourke prides himself in being a tough guy. In The Wrestler, Rourke did the extreme wrestling himself with Necro Butcher.

Interesting article on how Rourke had it all (he dated Kim Basinger after all), lost it all, then got it all back again. Today he's worth about $15 million, thats not a lot by Hollywood standards but it beats being homeless:

I think there's more to this, than meets the eye....

I'm pretty sure it was the promoter or the hosting company that found and compensated Elliot. It would be nice to hear that Elliot got a few thousand dollars out of it, but it's quite possible he agreed to the fight for little more than an all-expenses paid trip to Moscow, some free accommodations, and being allowed to a Russian Millionaire's after party where there was sure to be activities worthy of Rob Ford & Silvio Berlusconi...
